The weather today was pretty grim, featuring low overcast, temps struggling to make it into the low forties, and a screaming SSW wind at 20-25!!!!! The ride required full cold-weather gear sans booties. I guess the forecast was totally blown as the prediction of sunny skies never materialized. Joey was once again conspicuous in his absence, now suffering the aftereffects of last weeks Covid infection. I feel a bit proud having gone out under such adverse conditions. The last time I was up here, I was in such a bad state of mind that I could not get the motivation together to go out and ride in similar conditions. Having Liah back in my life has made all the difference in the world. She has finally started talking to Gina and me, and we have been able to see her two consecutive Sundays, going out for lunch either on Roosevelt Island or in Manhattan. So, this ride was almost pathetically short, but Cemetery Road proved to be somewhat of a challenge, and I’m happy I had a chance to check it out.
