Ride started a few minutes late for two reasons: 1) forgot to install batteries to lights, and 2) main light stopped working, had to stop because in my haste thought I may have put one of the batteries in wrong, checked the positioning of all batteries and they were in correctly, then I noticed the plug junction was not completely tight, fixed it and I was good to go, as I got ready to start I noticed my helmet strap was not connected. So it was a good thing I stopped. Now I was on my way but 11 min. late which meant I had to push to get to meet up with Albert in time. I get to our meeting point just as Albert was got there. He tells me he was also rushing to get there! We chatted a few min. as usual then off we we went on our shorter ride. Things were going great until my Garmin fell off the mount luckily I had it tethered but I caught it just as it popped of put it back on but the portion that holds it on twisted 90* that's why it came off. I couldn't twist back so I put it that way. we get about 1/4 mile and it popped off again. this time I thought the base broke of so we stopped and started looking for it on the ground and road. after going back to where it came off and back up to where we stopped no luck then I noticed the part was still connected to the mount. so I removed it stuck it back on the Garmin put into my back pocket for it to continue recording the ride. Well that didn't work out as I must have pressed a button to turn it off , but semi lucky I had another computer running. The only problem it doesn't read to Strava or Ride with GPS. So, here is the final stats: Dist 35.97, Ride Time 1:57:33; avg Speed 18.3, max Spd 31.7; avg Watts 178, NP 206, IF .84, TSS 137, VI 1.16; avg Cad 88.6, max Cad 112; avg HR145.6 and max HR 168. What an adventure, something new and different on every ride!!! Onto our next adventure...
