I was a bit late at the start point. But SJBP never starts on time anyway, right? They did this time. The start was so deserted it looked like the aliens had abducted them all. I caught up with the group by 1st regroup point.
Tweets from the ride... (text of all the tweets included in case Twitter dies, which is actually possible after their layoffs and staff exodus)
I was late to the start of SJ Bike Party in downtown SJ. I caught up at 1st regroup point in Santa Clara. Good attendance for November: looks like a couple hundred cyclists or more. #cycling #SanJose #BayArea

Now at 2nd regroup point with SJ Bike Party. The theme tonight is the "Area 51 Ride". I got a photo with a green dude here after riding together part of the previous segment. #cycling #SanJose #BayArea

There's some irony to getting a red light at Obama Blvd. But the Bike Party music bike set the right example and everyone stopped for the light. (Sometimes it's a challenge to get everyone to stop if someone busts a light.) #cycling #SanJose #BayArea

Trains are another reason to tell everyone to stop for red lights. Alert VTA trolley operator saved some careless riders with a quick stop. I couldn't yell loud enough to get the riders to stop for the train. #cycling #SanJose #BayArea

Back at the start point. SJ Bike Party is over for November. #cycling #SanJose #BayArea

Safe at home. Fun conversation earlier tonight at 2nd regroup point: "Area 51 Ride" theme led someone to ask the guy with the green alien👽 mask if he had ever seen a UFO. No. But I told them, "I've caused UFO sightings." Told some stories from high-altitude balloon projects. 😀

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
