Such a ride . First of all it was freezing . Another 0.5 Degree and it would have been icy . It was really cutting in the morning and very damp and a small bit foggy , but by Jaysus was it cold! But the first thing i discovered when I left the train in Newbridge was that I had left my HD cycling gloves behind me in Heuston Station , so I was not gong to cycle with no gloves on a cold day like this as it would be dangerous . I decided to go to the local cycling shop which was about a mile from the centre of the metropopous. When I arrived there , to discover that it would not open until 10.30AM . At this stage it was only near 9.00AM so I was not going to go the whole day with no gloves. So I decided to go to Pennys to get gloves . This gentleman gave me a lone of his lock and I went in and bought a pair . Stupid thing to do .I had the journey planned on the Hammerhead which is one of its few advantages so I was fairly sure that I was sure where I was going . I was getting cold and colder. However in the afternoon it was still very cold but not as cold. Had my dinner in Innfield and then cycled off to Kilcock and from there to Maynooth . Tired enough . When I arrived in Connolly I went not home directly but back to Heuston Stn to find out were the gloves handed in , but No. Then I went home . Annoyed about that pair of gloves and also surprised at how long I cycled . Still a good cycle.
