I got to ride some rollers with 4 good buddies, Jim, Roy, Gary and Walt, who called out "Happy New Year!" when he arrived; I had to wrack my brain to figure if I had seen him this year, or if he was early, referring to 2023. One guy arrived without his bike shoes, went home and got them, came back to the start then rode the route in the opposite direction until he met us coming the other way. One guy was seriously under-dressed ("Forgot my wool layer!") and had to short-cut back to his car well past the halfway point, with another buddy accompanying him in case of a problem. We found there are some new 4-way Stop signs at Commissioners Pike & Watsons Mill Rd and Watsons Mill & Alloway-Aldine Roads. Most welcome. Afterward, four of us supped at the Point 40 Diner on Pole Tavern Circle. I had the meat loaf. Clear, cold day, with wind chill going from 24 at the start all the way up to 33.
