The magnificent seven became eight at Uxbridge and we set off for Stoke Poges by a familiar route. Circumvented Black Park to avoid mud but there was much surface water hereabouts indeed Church Lane was impassible and necessitated a short detour, Costa was pretty much empty so they welcomed our trade. Tried a few new wiggles to get to Duffield Lane but they were not worth the effort. Then to Farnham Royal and the long descent to the Moon & Spoon at Slough. New to me but to not several of our party. After lunch we took the cycleway along Wellington St and then into Bloom Park and onwards to Langley. Decided against tea so dispersed at the Malt Shovel. Those who went to Uxbridge bumped into Jim S just back from holiday. Good day out could have been warmer.
