The weather has let up. Fantastic for an Alpine Forest ride. The legs felt pretty good to start. The wind was from the North West. Temperature in the upper 40's. Felt more like 50. I wore the standard winter kit. After making it to the summit of OTR, I took off the jacket and put it around my waste. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. The Alpine Forest went quick. I think the wind was a bit turbulent because it felt like I was going into a headwind for a bit. I made my way around the backside. Reaching over 42 MPH without trying. When I reached the summit of Banducci, I pulled over. I was thinking about feeding, but decided to wait till I got home. The descent was slow, going into a headwind. OTR was mostly fun and games. I had to slow down for the run off water from the previous rain / snow fall. from there, it was the push over Mariposa and the grind up Weston. I shut it down after that. Concentration was good. Minimal lapses and gremlins. Nutrition was good. I had slight hunger signs towards the last few moments of the ride. Gear worked flawless. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some hand soreness, perhaps a hint of saddle soreness. Nothing that escalated or detracted. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
Other notes, I think the watch HR sensor works better when it is turned to the inside of my wrist. Appears to be more accurate at the higher BPM's.
