Today I had in mind to take GC200 road along the west coast. It is one of the most scenic roads on the island. I had some old information that one section is closed because of the massive rock slide but nothing recently updated. Once I got to the El Mirador de Balcon, food truck guy told me that the road is complete filled up with huge amount of stone and that they fenced up the access. So I turned back, went through the 3.2 km long tunnel, and rejoined the RC200 latter on. I still had great time but missed that part of solitude ride along the cliff coast. Road after the tunnel is a bit busy as they are building new road, through the mountain, so amount of trucks is significant but they were all very respectful.
Tunnel is long but completely safe for cycling. It has light all the way and once you enter the tunnel they block the right lane with visual warning that cyclist is in the tunnel.

I got on time to catch ferry to cross to Tenerife island and continue with exploring east side of the island.
