So, today was the first time I was able to get out for a ride since my knee injury. The weather was nice and cool. I over-dressed, but it didn't bother me much, so I kept my layers on for the whole ride. This is the first time I did this loop. I was going to ride to the top of Woodford-Teh, but there was a strong headwind and I didn't want to put my knee through the rigors of the first few kickers. It turns out that this loop was perfect for my situation right now. My knee was sore for the first lap, but after each lap, it got better and better. Right now, I think my knee hurts less than earlier in the morning. I'll likely do this ride at least one more time before going out on my, more normal rides. Other than the sore knee, my right shoulder hurt a little, but that was only because I was trying to scratch my back, and I over rotated my arm. That soreness went away in about 2-3 minutes. It doesn't hurt as I type, right now. Components, shifting is perfect. GPS, good, but didn't pickup the cadence. Turns out that the sensor wasn't close enough. I adjusted it when I got back home, should be good to go for tomorrow's ride. Everything else seems to be in good working order. Concentration and balance was good today, albeit, I was concerned about the health of my knee, so I think that was the focal point of the ride. Injuries have a funny way of giving you extra focus.
