Hunting Island State Park MTB Ride 4-03-23

Fuel EX 9.8. Partly sunny, warm and humid, no wind in the woods. Beautiful woodland trails through the state park. Warm enough to work up a good sweat.

Surprising mix of trails, from fast & flowy flat sandy trails along the coast and through the woods, to fairly gnarly woodland single track. The hardest section was called the Diamondback Rattlesnake trail, which was surprisingly hilly with some steep climbs and major root gardens. The other two woodland sections - Magnolia and Maritime Woods - were a little less gnarly and fun to ride. I did most sections twice - once in each direction to get in 2 hours riding.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
