Feeling a little better, so let's try something up in the hills above Bernalillo with, you know, a few rocks and not in amongst the trees down by the river. Worked pretty well. Not a lot of severe climbs but OMG the wind. It really picked up and the stretch at 4.3 and 4.4 was on the very narrow top of a ridge with the wind blasting from the left. There was walking. There were also multiple "oh this isn't right" after consulting the map NUMEROUS times. One thing for sure about New Mexico trails on the east side of the river -- they are NOT marked well and there are dozens of unofficial social trails that may or may not go where you think. In any case, this was an official route from MTBProject, including a slope of at least 30 degrees at 5.5. Also walked, even if it was downhil. Loose, gravelly, scary.
