CRW Winter kickoff, expanded

First club ride in a while; I met a dozen riders at Cambridge Common at 10:30 (sprinting to get there in time). The group split up when most of it turned the wrong way off Grove St. I joined a few riders until at 9 miles they turned off for the short route. At that point I was on very familiar territory, on my usual Walden Pond route. I expanded it in an exploratory mood. For example, down by the big Catholic retreat center, I turned onto Ripley "No Outlet" and found that it goes down to some nice woodland trails, not posted against bikes. Then I lunched at Sorrento's on Thoreau St -- far superior to New London across the street from it.

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
