I almost didn't make what is possibly the most important ride of the year - the ride to Andytown! I've been waiting forever for the Menlo Park location to open.
I woke up at ~2:15a wondering why my neighbor had their A/C on and thinking it was kind of loud. Then as I became more awake, I realized it wasn't my neighbor's A/C but another neighbor's generator and that the power was out. Had I not woke, I wouldn't have realized that and I wouldn't have had an alarm.
I set an alarm on my phone but 15 minutes later the power came back on so reset my clock and alarm too before going back to bed.
First fully sunny morning in a while and it was great. I kept going from thinking I'd overdressed to being dressed just right. Stupid warm in the sun but really chilly wind chill.
On the way back I guess the gang likes to sprint up the hill on Albion Ave. up to Olive Hill Ln. Irene and Ron were ramping it up but I didn't know what was going on and I was near the back. Ron was nearly at the top of the hill when I figured out what was going on so I turned on the sprinting legs and came flying by all of them from behind. Irene said she could hear me coming. :)
I was worried my legs were going to be dead from all the riding recently and lack of rest but they actually felt really good. It was my lungs and chest that were feeling tired.
The new Andytown location is nice. Service was a bit slow as they're getting up to speed. The light inside was so pretty and it's where I wanted to get a shot of the best breakfast sando but they served it in a bag instead of on a plate and it was crowded.
Alissa's fear of bugs and spiders, even when only imagined is quite strong. If I ever got a PhD, it would be about fear and how it negatively affects people and really society as a whole.
