Not feeling the greatest after oh-dark-30 delivery of offspring to airport, followed by a resumption of sleep, so decided an easy MTB ride was in order. And let's do the old-school Germantown Loop but add a little bit of Black Hill trails to get the mileage up. Well. Morning ride before the hordes arrive on trails that are less favored by said hordes is gonna get you a wholllle lotta spiderwebs in the face. Sooo many spiderwebs and then dangling spiders outta the corner of your eyes... Hard Rock trail lived up to its name; the rocks are waaaay more exposed than remembered and it's not a simple cruise through the woods. So there was that. Then there was climbing, a bit more than remembered or expected... even with a pretty long stretch of paved trail (10.3 to 11.9) then from 12.3 to the end... Didn't really notice when started feeling better, maybe 5 miles in? Already had quite a few webs-in-face by then. Contact points held up, but then, MTB isn't usually a problem. We'll see what happens tomorrow....
