I looked up the weather forecast for today and at least it was nearly dry so I set off for Longford from Connolly . This time i was all prepared with the earphones and a relaxing talk from Tess , but I could not get it to work. But on the way back it did . So at least I had the peacefulness of that. Anyhow a truly great cycle and I was on the country roads most of the time . I was afraid I was going to suffer from starvation as I was not going to go through any main town after about 2-3 hours I was sent over to Abbeyshrule by a kind bricklayer who knew his way (apart from the fact he was from England). I could swear I was in Abbey before a few years ago co it did look very familiar. Most of the roads i went on were very "country" and very quiet and hardly any traffic. I was caught once or twice with the weather but it only lasted a minute or two ,and I just sheltered under a tree. So anyhow a great cycle and i would give this 100%
