The weather is on the cool side. I got the clothing situation better than the last time. I wore arm coolers, knee warmers and a headcap. I ended up keeping them on for the duration of the ride. The legs felt pretty good to start. I didn't bother checking the time at the summit of OTR, but likely good average time. The morale felt better as I made my way up the Banducci Wall and into the Alpine Forest. The Arosa climb went quick. Before I knew it, I was at the speed bumps. I was near max, but not too much in the red over the top. I made my way around the backside, reaching 40 MPH on the descent. When I reached the summit, I pulled over for a minute to recover. I let the traffic by and then headed back down the mountain. I added the Buffalo Run to this ride. It went as usual. After making it back to OTR, it was mostly fun and games. As I was descending the lower slopes, I got stung by a bug in the neck. It still hurts. No clue what it was, but it hurt. I used my tire squeegee to remove any stingers, but I did not detect any. After pushing over Mariposa, I made my way back home and shut it down at the summit of Weston. Concentration was pretty good. A bit squirrely today than usual. Minimal gremlins out there. Balance and form was good. Nutrition was good. I drank most of my sport drink. Ailments were minimal. Some mild hand numbness. The insect sting was the worst of it. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, no cyclists out today. There was one runner that i regret not having waved to.
