Fuel EX 9.8. Mostly cloudy, warm temps in the 60s, little to no wind. Short but hilly and tough ride over several trails at Kinsey Park in Peoria. This was our second ride of the day and it made up for the cut short ride at the Wilderness Prairie Park. None of the forecasted rain appeared while we were out but we did run into some on the drive home from Ottawa. Great flowy and fast trails in pretty much perfect conditions. Jack and I started on Munchkinland West up to Yellow Brick Road, Emerald Forest and the Farm Road Trail up to the Wizards Palace Picnic Area. Return via The Land of Oz and Flying Monkeys trails then back down the mountain on Emerald Forest and Yellow Brick Road in the opposite direction - really fast and fun on the downhill. We finished off with a total loop of both sides of Munchkinland. There were actually riders out today at the trailhead and we ran into one out on Flying Monkeys. He was riding in the opposite direction mostly downhill - that will be my preference going forward, as it has an extremely tough sect of steep climbs the way we went. We stopped and had a late lunch/dinner at Tangled Root Brewery in Ottawa.
