Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Interesting day today. In the low 70's, winds favorable. I did a park and ride. I felt sluggish to start. Making it to the summit in average time. I cruised the descent, no clue what time I was doing when I hit the base. It didn't matter today. I had a tailwind on the ascent. It helped, but my legs felt a bit sluggish for the first 10 minutes or so. They got better as the climb progressed. Today was all about concentration. I felt good on the descent. Fending off the crazies a bit. The ascent turned out to be more of a trouble-some zone for concentration. My mind was all over the place. Just couldn't get it into lock-down. Just as I felt I was going to put it into the zone, I had this nasty brain-fart. Such a lapse, I almost don't dare mention what it was. In any case, I recovered and continued. I was able to hold it together for the remainder of the ascent. As i was making my way back to the car, I was thinking of a way to stay concentrated. I was wondering why I didn't think about this before. I want to create a set of lingo while I'm out there riding. Especially on the more difficult parts of the ride. For now, here's what I'm thinking. While climbing. I usually have it in 5th to 1st gear. So, I would think to myself "On 5, hold". Then take a few breaths counting them, in and out of the saddle (perhaps saying, "up" when going out of the saddle). As the climb gets more difficult, I adjust the lingo to "On 4", "On 3", etc. I'll have to think of a similar schema for the lesser difficult sections and into headwinds. That's pretty much for now. Back to the ride... Ailments were next to none, just the usual exhaustion. Balance and form felt pretty good. Gear is working well. Other notes, I saw 3 other cyclists today.
