Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I decided to park and ride today. The streets are under construction. I will likely have to do this for the next month or so. Weather was cool. Winds from the North West. I was going to wear arm and knee warmers. I decided not to wear them when I got to the parking lot. According to the GPS, there is about 1.5 miles less than having gone on the ride from the doorstep. Today was a thing of lesser and greater. The body being the greater of things and the mind being somewhat the lesser. Again, concentration not so good. I was sufficiently warmed up by the end of OTR. The Banducci climb felt ok, not so much into the red when I got the the top of the wall. The remainder was steady tempo, into the wind, to the summit. I took a minute or two at the summit and headed down. I had to let traffic by once, after that, it was the usual downhill recovery. The trek to SS was modest. Not much more than 17MPH, into the wind. I made it to the tunnel in under 1 hour, but in my mind I added say 2 minutes additional time due to the lesser mileage from the beginning. From that point, I wasn't thinking about time. More or less just the tempo I had to maintain to keep things safe and enough for the last climb. I made my way through the farmlands fairly quick. The last climb felt good for the most part, again in the body, not so much in concentration. I guess it was the body that got me home this time. Concentration, I wish I could explain why it felt off. Maybe if I had some ideas to think about, perhaps that may have helped. I'm doing my best to mitigate the sensation as I have had it for the previous rides this month. Maybe it was the calm before the storm. I had an errand to run in the morning, so I had to adjust my schedule around it. I don't think that had much of an effect, as I got out at the usual time and had sufficient time to take a nap prior to the ride. Perhaps I'll have to read some articles on the cycling magazines I frequently read. There's a lot of rules of thumb that helps make the miles go by as to not let it drift so far. I know what the feeling is like. Otherwise, yes, gremlins, I'm trying not to make that an excuse. However present it may be. Balance and form felt good. I was on top of the pedals. Ailments were next to none. Slight right calf soreness that persisted for a few minutes. I stretched every now and again. I think that helped. Gear is working well. The shoes feel good. Perhaps some minor adjustments needed. Other notes, I saw cyclists riding into town as I was on my way back from an errand. From the looks of it, I think they went to SS or Keene. Otherwise, no cyclists on today's ride.
