I started out as a solo ride and 4 miles my power meter stop working and just about the same time I crossed a rider going the opposite direction... He yelled out to me, "Can't wait for it to be April!". I thought I recognized the voice so I made an about face and went to catch up with the rider. I figured I could do a different route, if he was going too far down Rte 70 or a different direction. Well I didn't know the rider but made a quick friend, he told me which direction he was going and it fit my ride. So I decided to ride with him. We had a very nice chat on the ride. I did have a a certain time I had to be back and drive down to my brother's house. I did not calculate the ride pace and the added distance into my adjusted ride. When I dropped him off I realize I was late and had to kick ass the last 10 miles to make up up some time. I still was way behind. It was a very pleasureful and successful adventure ride. Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
