Not a big turn out today due to the rain that just went on and on. Stuart's nobby medium ride was merged into Bernie's long ride. Bernie scrapped his original planned route and came up with plan B - Burnham Beeches for the morning stop, Hope and Champion Beaconsfield for lunch and tea to be decided.
The ride started off badly - a phone call from Ninja Steve disclosed that he and Woody had been left behind and weren't sure what plan b now was. We waited for them at the bottom of Chandlers Hill and they eventually arrived. Cliff had gone on ahead and was never seen again (a dimensional time rift in the Pinewood area a possible explanation).
Arriving at Burnham Beeches we found Sandra waiting for us - a bit of a loiter then on to the lunch stop through heavy rain. Quite a long linger then as the rain was still hacking down we elected to head strait back with Bob and Sandra dropping out at various points. Arriving at Denham Village we found it grid locked from The Swan to the church with cars, hearses etc for a gypsy funeral. Having pushed our bikes through the jam we made our way onto Denham Golf Course where the heavy rain seems to have shifted most of the mud off the pathway - hooray.
