Day 7
Daytona 500 race day, postponed.
Day 8 Visit Cape Canaveral visitor center by rental car. zero miles.
Day 9 also, zero miles, bike repair/laundry/rain
Interesting day. Started off with good diner breakfast, and some crazy rt 1 riding. But a wonderful paved ped/bike trail appeared for 16 miles. A great local entrepreneur had set up the perfect rest stop at the end, at the junction with another trail for another 10 miles or so. Wonderful. Then back to crappy rt 1, and ANOTHER flat tire at mile 62.25 Rt5A. Walked up to the corner shell gas station at Big tree Road to have a safe place to work on it, and called Chris to let him know. . Once again Chris's knowledge and skill and extra help (he rode 5 or 6 ish extra miles to bike shop(s - 1st one turned out to be motorcycle shop) to buy another tube(s)), since the one I picked up as a spare must have been a dud with valve issues, that's what you get when you buy from Captain Jack operating out of a storage locker on a Sunday I suppose). Anyway, Chris saved the day again and we made it to beachfront hotel in time for dinner and a sea breeze or two.
Down day Saturday and Sunday planned.
Expecting rain, I need a rest (Chris could keep going and going and going). So, enterprise rental from airport to Kennedy/Cape Canaveral visitor center. Laundry, time to sit on the beach perhaps.
Much Daytona 500 Activity about, we're one town north of Daytona Beach. Looks like the race might be on as planned, unless the rain changes things more than it has. (it was postponed a day)
Back on the road Monday to finish to St Augustine. Maybe Tuesday into GA. Unless things change.

Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
