Pedalled down to Uxbridge with Les to find an extremely good turnout, around 40 loiterers.
With eighteen odd riders for the short ride to Chenies the group was split into two.
We left Uxbridge through Denham to elevenses at the Refreshment Pavilion, Harefield Hospital where two more riders were waiting. After refreshments we set off down Hill End Lane crossing the canal by Springwell Lock. Crossing the A412 we proceeded up Long Lane turning under the motorway spur and following the track over the motorway to a path that led onto Nottingham Road. We continued on past the small Heronsgate church and on to Stag Lane then down into Chorleywood, under the railway and uphill to the Amersham Road then it was a short ride to lunch at The Red Lion on the outskirts of Chenies.
After a fine loiterers lunch break we set off into the village, round the back of Chenies Manor and onto a track towards Little Chalfont with fine views across the Chess Valley towards Latimer. Reaching Stony Lane we turned left towards the Amersham Road which was crossed into Lodge Lane and Roughwood Lane to Nightingales Lane. Here I Turned right instead of left and we coverers about a mile before I realised my mistake so about turn and we back tracked to find the correct route. It was then through Chalfont Common to Higher Denham and on through Denham Village to tea at Denham Country Park. After tea the group dispersed to their respective homes.
Uxbridge to Uxbridge 27.4 miles (includes 2 mile detour).

Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
