Today's weather was pleasant. The wind was nice and cool. It didn't take much to get warmed up. My body responded better today. Granted, it was much cooler. I brought a 3rd bottle just in case. Turns out that the bottle cage came loose. I had to stop 3 times to fix it. By the time I had to stop for the 3rd time, my big bottle was about 1/3rd empty. So, I filled it up from what I had on the 3rd bottle. This made the 3rd bottle bottom heavy and kept it from shifting in the cage. That, plus some electric tape. I made it out to WS in good time. The wind was almost perfectly tail. The return trip was right into the headwind. I was crawling at first, but was able to lift the pace a bit. The miles went faster than I had anticipated. Partially, thanks to the walkman keeping me company. I felt nice and warmed up by the time I reached Banducci. I settled into a rhythm, right away. I was peeked by the time I reached the summit of the wall. Using my 32T, at that. The remainder was recovery and good tempo to the summit. I decided to turn around at the summit as I am expecting company today. The remainder was the much anticipated downhill for quite a bit. Concentration was good, pretty much in the zone and no serious loss of thoughts. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Balance and form felt good. Gear worked flawless, with the exception of the 3rd water bottle cage (partially my fault for not securing a bolt with thread-lock). Other notes, I saw one cyclist descending Highline as I was on the last few kickers.
