A ride on the NH Ice Cream Trail to Ingy's Ice Cream & Snack Shack, Berlin, NH. Ride begins and ends at very nice small roadside park just south of Ingy's on Unity. Head South towards Gorham on 16, mind the logging trucks. Gorham has another nice park, with a popular animal statue guarding it. "Turn" onto Rt 2, to Shelburne. Before Shelburne, find the wonderful North Road to escape the traffic on Rt2. This segment of riding on North Road was the best segment of all the rides so far. After the power house, nothing but Mountains and Scenery. The AT crosses. Turn onto Meadow Road, cutting the ride on North Road short :( Back onto Rt2 northbound. Find some oddities at Timberland Campground. Beyond is Rattle River, and an AT parking area. Back in Gorham at the info booth you find out that not just dogs, but all animals are banned. Except animal statues of course. Ride to Cascade Flats to see the last remaining paper mill in Berlin, though I'm not even sure that is still operating. Back up Rt16 to Ingy's! A short hop back to the park and you're done.
