Riding N out of Shaws on Rt 3 is not too enjoyable, except for the Ketchup knowledge that is to be had, and the regionally notable White Birch Brewing . A stop at Robie's Country Store in Hooksett offers some distraction. On Rt3A you have non-highway access to the Hooksett Rt 93 rest area. Common Man Restaurant and shops. Charging for your Tesla (on the Highway side only). No charging for the common man's EVs that aren't Teslas though, on either side. Further on, get relief from Rt 3A on River Road. Find a PSNH (now Eversource) boat ramp to the Merrimack River. Nearby is Merrimack Station, largest Coal Fired Power Plant in NH, at this point a necessary evil ironically providing power for Teslas and other EVs .... Onward and UPWARD to Ilsley's Ice Cream in Weare. A Good stop on the Ice Cream Trail on a HOT day. Back along Rt77 (Concord Stage Road) and its "thin" shoulder and trucks. Through the killer hills in Bow, to find a Snow Roller and a Mill Stone. A last view of the Merrimack from the Hooksett 3A bridge. Nearly the end at Brick House Drive-In Restaurant. End back at Shaw's after another short jarring ride with traffic on Rt 3, and after commiserating with the police guy about the heat and traffic, who is on traffic duty letting workers out of work onto Rt3 at rush hour.
