Today's weather was on the warm side, but comfortable. Winds from the North West. I felt about average going out the door. It took me a while for my legs to get warmed up. I made it to the end of OTR in average time. The trip out to WS was pleasant. Mostly tail & tail/cross winds. The return trip went quick. I had my head down most of the time. I had stuff to think about so, this was the perfect place to let my mind meditate on some thoughts. I implemented the usual technique of counting off the landmarks. I pushed pretty hard over the Banducci Wall. From there it was recover then, good tempo to the summit. I took a moments rest at the summit, stretched, hydrated and then commenced the downhill. I also assessed my provisions. I had 1 full bottle of cytomax, and a bit past 1/2 on water. I knew I could make it with these provisions as long as I didn't guzzle all at once. The downhill was fun, practicing my tuck. I was able to stay in my tuck on the last right hander. I'm getting good at it. The farmlands went quick. I was doing mostly above 18MPH. The last climb was a welcoming landmark. I kept my concentration going and pushed over the summit. From there it was recover, traffic negotiation, downhill fun, Mariposa push and back. Concentration was real good today, not that many lapses or brain farts. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness, some lower back soreness. Balance and form felt good. I was using the left leg / right leg alternating technique on the flats. Gear is working well. The Gopro kept rolling from start to finish without any stoppages.
