82km gravel route starting from the Richcraft Recreation Centre Kanata and going to Almonte (at 30km), Pakenham (at 45km) and Carp (at 73km) each with its own unique ice cream stand. The gravel route is on about 30kms of gravel roads or stone dust trail. I rode most of the way there with Harris and most of the way back on my own. Saw guy on a cute little pony and trap on John Shaw Road. Very good "banana cookie" (with banoffee centre) in Eldon's Pantry in Carp. Weather a bit of everything: overcast with strong headwind then rain and strong headwind, then cleared up and hot and sunny! Struggling to keep up on my old hard tail. Everyone else had a road or gravel bike (parham maybe selling his?), otherwise I may have to give up on gravel rides...
