BC is a small town but it has been expanding. I even got lost today in a neighborhood with lots of curved and angled roads. I tried to use a gravel shortcut that I saw on a map but it went into a private horse stable.
I thought I might be sore today after 3 days with the pack but all was good. The backpack & I are getting along well! It helps that I'm only taking what I absolutely "need", which is about 12 lbs. I've already eliminated things that I "want" but don't "need", like a pair of street shoes and jeans. My bike shoes are mountain bike type and are very comfortable to walk in. I replaced the jeans with a light water resistant stretchy pant with lots of zippers. It looks ok to wear out and doubles as my rain gear. I might be able to offload some things to my rental bike frame but I'm not counting on that.
