It's cooling down. Temperature in the 60's. Winds from the North West. I put on my arm warmers for today's ride. I think it was a good call as it got cooler as the ride progressed. My legs felt good from the start. Didn't take long to get warmed up. I was ticking off the landmarks, and they were going fast. I made it to the summit of Banducci in good time. The trek to SS was a bit slow, but I knew the return would be faster. There was more traffic than I anticipated. So, I was constantly looking around. I was checking my time as I made my way to the backside of SS. I was doing good time. Reaching the tunnel in about 1 hour. I wasn't sure how much of an advantage I was going to keep. I didn't keep time until I got close to Boss Hogs. It was close to 1:20ish when I got there. There was a detour that directed traffic through the CVR climb. So, I was constantly looking around. I did high tempo the whole way up. I think I gained a minute or two on this leg. From there, it was recovery and the trip home. Concentration was real good today. I was in the zone, and i felt like I had some elbow room. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Balance and form felt good. Gear is working perfect. Other notes, only 1 other cyclist today as I was making my way down OTR.
