Off on what we THOUGHT would be typical ride along the powerline trail and then back on Seneca Ridge. Uh, no. Instead, we ran into dozens of downed trees at Mile 3.6 and the straight line with no mileage was our bushwhacking through the uprooted trees and briars to get back on the trail. We thought ok, well, that's it, continue on. But no. At 4.3 or so we found MORE downed trees, scrambled past a couple of them before finding another coupla dozen, many of them HUGE and uprooted, and decided to fight our way back to the unmolested part of the trail and bail into a neighborhood. Trees obviously destroyed by the tornadoes of June 5, and being out in the woods, nothing has been written about it. Will take multiple days with multiple chain sawyers to clear this mess up. That cut the ride short but we were plenty tired from the hike-a-bike and scrambles.
