Norfolk churches.

The intention was a circular ride taking in some of the best Norfolk Churches. A late start and shortened version was called for as the weather was dire early on, but we set off at 1100 as it cleared, then dry from then on.

Straight to Aylsham for Lunch, including up the Bure valley railway – not recommended. Too narrow and too wet. Mucky! Lunch at the Black Boys in Aylsham.

Then visited 3 churches at Cawston, Heydon and Salle. Heydon was closed but the other 2 were/are splendid. 2 more are in the area, but we skipped those.

Tea in Reepham at the Dial House – listed as a 5* Hotel but actually has a teashop open until 5. Very nice.

Decided to return via the Marriotts way old railway – another mistake – very very mucky and muddy, if flat

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
