Wow, great day to go riding today! The weather was perfect. Slight winds from the north. Only had to wear 1 base layer. no arms/legs today. Today was another confirmation day. I was constantly monitroring my body to see if I developed any type of ailment through out the ride. Most notably my right leg. Turns out that I had almost no ailments. I had some mild soreness in my left outer knee. It went away in about 10-15 minutes as I anticipated. I did good tempo on the whole ride. I had good legs from the start. I felt strong going out the door. I was able to push it over Banducci Summit, SS, and over the last Summit. My concentration was with me for pretty much the entire ride. I think it was as close to full lock-down as I could do. Balance was not as good as I had anticipated, but I'd rate it as fair. Today was one of those days that the weather just makes you feel like someone was feeding you 100% O2. Excellent, Excellent! The bike and gear worked fabulous today. My new shorts feel great. I've no clue how long they will last. I ended up buying a new pair of shorts, and plan on returning the least of the 2 that I had from a prior order. Other notes, I saw a red-tail hawk on the way out on the bottom part of the descent on Banducci. It was off to my right flying parallel. I'm not sure if I got it on film. Will check that today. Also, I saw a hang glider as I was entering the final climb of the day. I've never seen one fly from this area. Looks like he took off from the Northern mountain. No doubts, the wind was ideal. I saw many birds just hovering and following the currents.
