When I woke up today, my left hip was sore. I'm not sure why, I didn't do anything unusual in the past few workouts. I was planning on doing the double, but under the circumstances, I decided against it. Instead I did the tour de teh (ss,r) ride. I started out with the thought, if I felt bad (being my hip too sore), that I would do an about face and just go back home. My hip was sore for most of the OTR . But, as I was getting near to route 202, my hip came around a bit. I then decided to do the Banducci wall, and again, my hip felt ok. When I reached the Banducci Summit, I felt good enough to do the complete ride. I commenced with the ride doing a bit more than average tempo. I felt good the entire way to SS. I did a bit of a dig over the SS summit and continued with good tempo to the SS right turn exit. From this point on, my ailments were negligible. My right leg cramped a few times, but it was more of a sharp pain that lasted no more than a dozen or two seconds. My concentration was much better than the previous ride. Although, I didn't have it in complete lock down, I was focused for the majority of the ride. One thing that bummed me out today is that I forgot to start my timer by about 4-5 minutes. Needless to say, I did good time. Overall balance was good. My gear is working great, I'm loving the multi shift. The only noticeable problem was the usual creaking noise coming from the lower half of the bike. It happens when I'm out of the saddle and my right leg hits around 4-6 o'clock. Not sure what to make of that.
