This week's title was suggested by Clive. Thirteen followers for today's medium ride with Lawrie being the leader. Lawrie led us to the morning stop the Cafe Esrela do Norte, though I noticed that he didn't go down the road where he broke his hip - wise, very wise.
From there we set off to our lunch stop the ever popular Greyhound at Kew. Lawrie slightly changed his normal route there and while we were on the canal, Lawrie suddenly diverted into a little park to find that it was in fact a dead end as it was not possible to get a bike through the gate. I have never seen anyone switch the blame onto someone else so quickly - most impressive - the navigational error was firmly planted on club sec Tony who was not even on the ride! The incident became known as Canal Gate Gate. With a slight route correction we finally arrived at Kew , where Lawrie very generously bought everyone lunch to celebrate his forthcoming birthday. Post lunch the group headed off to Northala Park for afternoon tea.
