Local Area Mixed Trail Fat Bike Ride 6-24-24

Trek Farley 9.6. Sunny and bright, hot - in the mid 80's, 7-ish mph SW winds - a gorgeous early Summer day. Local area only: Peck Rd Trail, Hickory Knolls, Campton Forest Preserve and finished up on the Great Western Trail from Wasco back towards my part of town in Geneva.

I saw a few runners but no other cyclists - surprising on such a fine day. Campton FP is nice but some of the woodland areas were a bit overgrown - better riding in the Fall and Winter on those trails but the grass ones were great.

Last good ride before flying out to Seattle are on Wednesday. I'm planning on doing some rides with Ryan but not sure how many over the 3 weeks. Dropping off the Farley tomorrow to get the wheel bearings replaced - that was pretty quick with only 1,270 miles since early February.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
