Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Well, today proved to be a bit of a bummer because my gps ran out of batteries about 15 minutes into the ride. So I was riding blind with respect to the metrics. I did good time to the top of the descent. The weather was warm, warmer than the previous ride. The winds from the south. In such, the return trip was a bit into a headwind. Fortunately, the winds weren't severe. I did steady tempo for most of the ride. I was going to do a bit of a dig over the loop monument, but I was too spent from the first half of the ride. I ended up riding half of that 200-300 yards in the saddle and half out. Interesting that I felt less fatigued while out of the saddle. Being that I didn't have my gps working, I was mostly focusing on my body signals. This kept me well concentrated through out the ride. I didn't have many ailments, no leg cramping, but a bit of lower back soreness on the last half of the ride. Also, before the ride, my stomach was cramping most of the early afternoon, just about when my early ciesta was done. I had to postpone my ride till the cramping went away. Probably an hour of delay. My new shorts are working great, they need to be broken in a bit, but otherwise, right on the money. Gear, other than my gps, everything was right on. The only other thing is the creaking persists. This disconcerts me just a bit because I've done pretty much all I can, other than inspecting the bottom bracket area of the frame. The problem is, there's a chain guard right where I want to examine it. Towards the end of the ride, I reseated the rear wheel, the skewer felt a little less than well fitted. I guess tightening the crank arms is due for the next trouble-shooting steps. The gopro wasn't recording the up hill for a while, until I noticed the red light wasn't blinking. I attribute that to my haste in not starting it. I ended up starting it blind and in the video camera mode.
