A fine but blustery morning saw ten riders head out of Uxbridge on the short ride. We took the usual route out past Brunel University to Iver. Continuing through Iver we rode doen Langley Park Road turning down Hollow Hill lane to Iver Golf Club where Elevenses where taken.
After refreshments Dave P, Jane, Clive, John, and Luke left us to find their own routes. Jacky, Andy, Peter, Robin and I headed across to Trenches Lane, through The Trenches Farm Estate and on to George Green. Crossing the Uxbridge Road we pedalled past Wexham Church, and Stoke Place to Stoke Poges Lane and Northern Road which was followed to the cycleway to Farnham Royal. Passing the Church of St Mary the Virgin we followed Farnham Lane to Crown Lane and so to lunch at The Crown Inn.It rained lightly while at lunch but cleared as we were leaving,
We departed along Stoney, Thompkins, and Hawthorn Lanes the traversed Burnham Beeches along Lord Mayor’s Drive. Leaving ‘The Beeches’ we headed along Templewood and Duffield Lanes to Stoke Poges. We made our way to Black Park via Holly Bush Hill where Andy, Peter, and robin left for Uxbridge and Jackie and I headed to the cafe for tea.
Leaving Black Park we tried to leave by the Pinewood Gate but found it locked with no explanation as to why so we followed the perimeter which was a bit muddy in places to meet Pinewood Road. We then returned through Iver Heath And Iver to Cowley where we said goodbye and headed home.
