Today's weather was great. in the 70's. so shorts and short sleeves. The winds were from the south. I flew to the top of the descent. The winds weren't severe. The descent was a treat. I hit 42mph just after the Loop Monument. The return trip was what I expected. It was double duty, the wind and the climb. As is to be expected on a day like today. My body felt great today, but my lower back was sore for the last half of the ride. It persisted and hindered my pace. Other than that, no other ailments worth noting. I've been doing my ab strength training. Perhaps I was setting a pace just a bit too high. My concentration was good. I was focused on the ride, and admittedly (sp?), I was thinking about the launch of my site. In a good way though :). Balance was especially good today. Probably the best in a few weeks. Perhaps it's partially due to the squats I've been doing in my strength training. Gear is working great, no severe creaking noises, but clicking noises still persist. I tried pedaling with my right leg and it made the clicking noise. When I switched to my left leg, I heard no noise. Really unusual. But I'm confident I can figure out where to make the adjustments. Other notes, not many, a few cows. Two trains were visible, one going up and the other down, a treat for the tourists.
