Training objective: Preparing for the 36One, so ride as long as possible at only tempo pace - no hard riding - with the cadence between 75-90 rpm's and the heart rate at 130-145 bpm's.
After yesterday's 200 km ride, it was definitely a 2-pair of cycling shorts day today. And it took about an hour or so for the legs to get going again after yesterday's long ride, but I was ready to get back up to pace by the time we got to the contour road along the mountains to Jonkersberg., but it was a little slow (I'm stronger than my ride partner). And we had route navigation problems, so we stopped and doubled back a few times (and stopped at a stream to refill our water bottles). Nice jeep track. Then we were back to the gravel district roads for the ride back (and about 25 km of tar for the last loop out to Little Brak to make the 100 km mark).
I had to double-back a few times or go up and down side roads to keep the legs moving while I waited for him to catch up. So, maybe not quite on target for heart rate, but good to get the km''s in.
I got a KOM on a sprint at the end at about the 99 km mark and was feeling pretty strong for the last hour.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
