Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

So, I wasn't able to ride today, due to the rainy weather. A bit disappointed. I decided to do an indoor training session. I got down to the garage ready to rock. I started Zwift and after riding for 6 or 7 minutes, I noticed the trainer wasn't offering resistance as it should. I stopped, reset and tried again. 5 to 6 minutes, and no resistance. Eventually I would find out why. When pairing the power meter with the trainer, you have to choose the same model. So, from this, I gather that the Stages power meter won't work with the trainer. So, just have to remember to use the trainer's built in power meter when I use Zwift. As for the ride. I felt good. Albeit a 1 hour delay. I ended up riding for over 30 minutes, but add10 to 12 minutes for the un-finished rides. I did the greater London loop, but wasn't able to complete an entire lap. I thought it would lead me to the Box Hill climb, but it didn't, perhaps in the second half of the ride. My right knee is a bit sore, (just a hint). It felt fine on the trainer. Looking forward to get out-doors next time!
Other notes, I paired the Stages power meter with the Garmin computer and it matched the simulator within 2 or 3 watts.
