This is the 2nd half of the event I'm doing on July 20th. I already rode the 1st half as part of the Triple Bypass ride. I wanted to see how I felt at 14,130 ft. I had no issues. Just like in 2004, increasing elevation slowly makes it easy to adjust. It was hot and sunny all the way up, a beautiful day and I took some photos. That was good because when I got there, dark clouds started forming and it got windy. I took off, but not before being in the middle of a hail storm! This is exactly what happened in 2004! I rode today because they are predicting bad weather on Saturday. But I'll still ride if the event happens. They can cancel due to weather if they choose, so I wanted to have a chance to ride it again just in case.
