On the bikepacking trip, Ali was telling me that she'd never gotten the artichoke bread in Pescadero despite trying many times. The store was always closed. Granted, she'd never ridden there, always drove later in the day. Kira hadn't done the Pescadero loop either so this was perfect. The day started off cloudy and remained cloudy for almost the whole ride. The sun came out very briefly as we got back to Woodside but quickly hid behind the clouds again. Up along Skyline, it was actually pretty wet. When we were descending, it felt like it was raining. On the way back up Tunitas, big drops of water were dripping down on us from the trees. I'm glad I brought my jacket with me because it would've been chilly on the way to the coast. Luckily it never felt cold. When we got to Pescadero, Ali was in shock that we were there, that the store was open, and we were getting artichoke bread. I actually never go with the intention of getting artichoke bread myself. It's always been someone else that wants to get it. The bread is really good though. Would recommend and look forward to having it again some time. There was weirdly quite a bit of traffic today on all the roads. At least 3 or 4 times as much as normal. It almost felt like we were in Marin. At the top of Tunitas, we ran in to Chris C. It was good to see him. Starting in Woodside, and not having to do all the extra miles to get there, and it being overcast the whole day, we lost all sense of time and before we knew it, the ride was over. It felt so fast. That was a pleasant surprise.
