Woke up early, packed up, made some eggs, drank some espresso, listened to some music. Started with a big climb and the a big gravel climb that turned into a beautiful path along the ridge. Hopped onto some fun single track through high alpine which eventually turned vertical up then down. Descended along the lake into Embrum. Dropped off Marcel at the train station, ate about two thousand calories at lunch, recovered. Tough restart, cranked out miles, swam in the prettiest river, took some wrong turns and adjusted the route. Got yelled at by a French lady for using her chair, powered the last couple miles, definitely one of the best and most scenic routes so far. Arrived in Briançon late and could only find overpriced pad Thai to eat. Got pints of ice cream, candy, and cookies.
