Great Gilgo Gina

After yesterday’s absolutely wretched, 5.5-mile run, today’s magnificent ride seems all the sweeter! To be able to put power to the pedals, almost effortlessly, for 26 miles, is a wonderful thing. To do it with Gina is even better.

At the start of today’s outing, Gina had warned me that she wanted to take it easy. Apparently, she had other ideas, and ended up pulling for at least half the ride.

Under sunny skies, featuring temps in the upper seventies and moderate humidity, we were able to take advantage of the pronounced 10mph tailwind on the final leg back to Cedar Creek.

I hope this ride will serve to restore some of Gina’s peace of mind following her terrible ordeal at NYP Queens.
