Restarting from Nannup;
Arrived at Nannup, and the bus stops about right outside the campsite reception.
I quickly pulled seat back into a thereabouts guess of correct height, & loosely threw the bags on.
The campsite owner opened up the reception and said, "follow me" pointing to his car.
It turns out, the cabins are on the other side of town... Up a hill.
So I quickly discovered the seat was too low, as I frantically pedaled away to keep up with the car. Which was fine until I hit the hill & lost him.
I could see some lights ahead when I got near the top, & hoped it was him.
I slept OK, but I'm still recovering from the flu. So it's 7am, & I'm trying to find the incentive to get out of bed & start the adventure.
So I got out of bed, & made it as far as he first open cafe.
A good fry up and a coffee later, I set off for real.
I almost got squashed by a road train that couldn't wait to complete their pass before pulling back in.
Then I turned off the main road, and started the up hill.
Not seriously steep but it went on for about 10km
Half way up I started to feel a little ill.
Then there was a mad dash behind the nearest tree with a surprise bout of diarrhea.
I'm sure that was a sight for the passing truck driver.
Glad I'd brought toilet paper.
After picking out the splinters from my finger I got climbing up the embankment, I set off again.
I felt much better.
Quite a variety of terain on the way to Donnally River, where the lady at the general store kind enough to sell me her USB cable. I managed to break mine.
I was then joined by a family of emu. They seemed quite used to people and got very close.
I set off again after topping up my water.
I met Phillip & Tim along the way. 2 young German guys doing an e2e going north.
We had a good chat and wished them luck
The final push up to Karta Burnu was a killer.
Switch backs up the side of a hill with really steep tight turns.
I thought I'd finished them, but there were a few more further up.
It turned out to be 62km. I thought it was only going to be 56.
There was a Czech couple at the hut.
I set up my tent on the porch, looking out as it was a nice view.
They set their tent up inside.
