Warren & I had a fantastic day on the snowshoes. The route, other than a portion less than one-quarter mile, was completely off-trail. As you can see from the stats we got a real workout in today climbing over 3500 ft. in elevation. There was a fresh layer of snow that came during the previous evening and it continued through most of the day. It was quite cold, (but refreshing), the wind was blowing and we were in & out of clouds continually. This mountain has many personalities, all amazing by the way. Warren has excellent navigation skills and we put those to the test today with compass & map. Warren passed with flying colors hitting our target destination atop Mt Spokane! I very much look forward to our next epic adventure and encourage all to explore this great State Park. One word of advice; contemplate preparation carefully and be fit for this route.
