It's been a busy month, unfortunately, that's not bike riding busy! This is the second ride, at least both are at/over 40 miles.
The objective, other than to get out and get a little exercise & sun, was to head down to Perrydale road for a geocache to fill a box on a challenge. Sanders/Salt Creek roads are both gravel; I'm not a fan... Having the tires inflated for hard surfaces, it's a rough ride despite having a shock fork; the hard tail doesn't help. I've reduced the 700/38 tire pressures before for longer gravel roads where they were rough gravel. Fortunately, the Schwalbe Marathons stand up well to gravel.
Cache in hand, I returned to Broadmead to Ballston, then up to Deer Creeks Flats cemetery to check on that cache, then up to Belleview/Yocom cemetery to check that one.
It seemed to be a headwind most of the way. The start was calm, but by the time I headed north, it increased from the NE.
I spotted 4 other cyclists, one giving me a thumbs up... Not sure why, perhaps it was because I was stopped next to the Muddy Valley Overlook cache, or I was wearing my normal cycling dress.
Or ??, I'll never know!
All in all, a good ride!

Wow, such energy and enthusiasm. But, I know you -- anything for a geocache. Congratulations!
