I had a trip planned on the Rickreall creek road west of Dallas, but that didn't quite pan out. My alternate was the Luckiamute river area near the confluence of the Willamette.
The bridge leading into the park had been damaged by a tree last winter, so only foot/bike access is available. That makes it nice as the bike ride can start at the entrance rather than the parking lots inside the park, and there's typically far less people.
There were two vehicles on the highway shoulder, which has enough room for perhaps 5 or 6. My objectives were to find 4 geocaches and get a natural ride, which was 99% of the time.
The data shows only 5 miles, though the first time I forgot to get the GPS, I actually rode the route twice. In that time, I encountered 2 guys with their dog near the end, and 3 more times at the interior parking lot and along the road leading to the entrance. I had also spotted a person with a seafoam helmet at a distance, later I learned it was a couple who cycled to the river trail portal, set up chairs and enjoyed the stream for the evening.
The trip was enchanting, as it always is in this area. The river trail has several areas where the vegetation forms natural tunnels, which are wonderful on warmer days.
One of the trails off the access road near the NE end leads to a wonderful stretch of the Willamette, where I captured several reflective images. I always marvel at the beauty!
