I’ve been in a strange head of late. I am becoming increasingly worried about Liah, who seems to be headed towards another autumn-induced crisis, now having been suspended from work due to toxic attitude issues. For now, she continues to confide in us, but who knows how long that’ll last? In addition to that, the world continues its downward spiral, with a catastrophic global conflagration almost a dead certainty. With all of this plaguing my well being, today’s outbound leg, toward the Shavertown Bridge, with me pulling all the way into an icy, 15mph, WNW wind, was uninspired at best, and downright unpleasant at worst. Luckily, the return leg proved very satisfying! With a tailwind assist, and Gina now pulling, the upper forties temps did not feel as debilitating. And really, the weather was breathtaking, the puffy white cumulus parading proudly eastward under deep blue skies. Thursday, 10/10/24: So, no ride today. In part, this has to do with the blustery, 45-degree chill, but it is mostly the result of having caught Gina’s upper respiratory infection that has left me feeling like dog meat. Instead, we’ll take a ride with Blaze to explore some of the surrounding countryside in all off its autumn splendor.
